Autodesk MotionBuilder is a program that provides users the tools to capture, edit, and animate 3D characters in an interactive environment. The solution comes with multiple integrated manuals and tutorials.
The GUI has a modern look, with a standard menu tab, left and right panels, a top-toolbar, and a work area. The buttons are responsive, but the information font from side-panels seems a bit too small. Also, it would've been nice to have a few extra themes to choose from.
As I mentioned in the beginning, Autodesk MotionBuilder is mainly used to create 3D animations from scratch. Also, you can manage your character's movement techniques thus creating an original piece of art.
It can be used to replicate human movement thanks to its real-time 3D engine. You can use it to represent an anatomy model of a specific body and recreate various body movements.
It's worth mentioning that the animations can be organized and stored into groups, and can be controlled either by keyboard or joystick shortcuts.
To sum it up, Autodesk MotionBuilder is a powerful program that comes equipped with numerous tools to enable users to create original 3D animations. The price may be a bit high, as well as the recommended system requirements, but you should definitely give it a try.
It makes the faceshift channels accessible in motion builder as a device.
